Like shooting fish in a barrel: Orgy Room Couture, pt. 1

I was reluctant to use pictures or discuss fashion in great depth on this blog, mostly because there are many, many SL bloggers who cover this type of thing far better than I ever could. Plus, most of what I see is not safe for work (or for life, really), and I assumed that anyone reading this blog was not terribly interested in a parade of freenises. However, these ladies have inspired me to start an occasional series called "Orgy Room Couture", where you can feast your eyes on the fashion disasters that can be found in SL's finer sex clubs.

I'd say these ladies got dressed in the dark, but surely there was enough light from the facelight of the blonde to find decent clothes for themselves and the 30 other avatars in the room at the time. The redhead appears to be missing half of her outfit- I sense that she was attempting to mold a full perms dress into a Katy Perry-esque leotard. However, the glitch pants were never intended to be booty shorts. I'm also curious as to where the rest of her shoes went.

As for the blonde... I'm not sure how she managed to get two pairs of socks on. Or why she felt the need to wear everything in her inventory at the same time.

If I wasn't feeling so charitable about protecting their identities, I'd be able to show you that 1) They're apparently managers of some type of strip/escort club (I pray that they are attempting to reach a color blind clientele), 2) The redhead was rocking some serious eye bling. 3) The blonde has been here since 2006, which means that she has no excuse for this.

Ladies, if you don't want people to think you're a RL man pretending to be a woman... don't dress like this.

It's not just men behaving badly

Now, based on my previous blogs, one would assume that only men dare to enter the orgy rooms along with a few intrepid women. The truth is that many women do go to the orgy rooms. The majority of them are escorts of some sort. I'm not sure what drives these escorts to the orgy rooms- yes, there are many available men who seek sex, but very few of these escorts offer anything that the orgy roomers think they can't get for free easily. This is something I'll elaborate on at a later date.

Another large group of women who go to the orgy rooms are lesbians. Now, I generally assume that any female avatar with a poorly designed avatar running around naked begging anyone to fuck her is likely a real life man. I also assume that any female avatar who runs to the orgy rooms to get her lesbian freak on is likely a real life man wanting to act out a fantasy. However, for the sake of the other players, I am happy to treat people as the way they present themselves.

Today I planted myself and I seemed to be approached by more than the normal number of lesbians. A couple backed off when I clearly stated I'm not into women, but these two were of particular interest. The first slammed right into me and pushed me a few feet before speaking.

The Camhunter Files, part 1

I am forever amused by the amount of men who venture into the orgy rooms looking for women to jump on webcam with them. Now, having never owned a cam, I cannot speak from experience, but aren't there cam chat rooms for this type of thing? Trolling for cam seems to defeat the purpose of Second Life, or at least trolling for cam in places where few women dare to tread.

I am not convinced that these guys meet willing women for cam who do not expect to be paid, but I am going to save that for another post.

In this particular instance, there was an escort in the room who kept announcing her cam and pic services in open chat about every 30 seconds or so. I was about to mute her when I noticed a man pass by me wearing a fliptitle that said "I pay for cam". Ah, I thought, the solution to my problems. Now, I do not normally initiate conversation; I am happy to stand there, look pretty, and wait for someone to talk to me. In this case, however, I was happy to approach him and point him in the right direction. Or so I thought.
